This patient sought facelift surgery with South Jersey facelift surgeon, Dr. Anthony Corrado, to achieve a more youthful appearance. The patient was unhappy with laxity of her skin in the face and neck which gave her an aged appearance. She sought a tighter neckline and jawline with an overall refreshed appearance while achieving a natural, and not “overdone” result. Surgery was directed at lifting the deeper structures in the face and neck which included the SMAS and platysma muscles, respectively. Following this, areas of loose skin were also tightened. This comprehensive treatment of the deeper tissue layers, as well as the skin, would provide the patient a more lasting result. Following surgery, the patient was very pleased with her results.
