This young man underwent septoplasty and open primary rhinoplasty. The patient desired a very conservative and natural result. Aesthetic goals included reduction of a small dorsal hump, correction of twisted appearance of nose, and minor tip refinement. Functional goals included straightening of a deviated septum which was causing the patient breathing difficulties. Septoplasty provided correction of the deviated septum resulting in better nasal breathing and improvement of the twisted appearance of the nose.
Rhinoplasty afforded reduction in the dorsal hump resulting in a smooth nasal profile. The nasal bridge was also conservatively narrowed. Tip modification techniques resulted in a more refined nasal tip. The patient was very satisfied with the natural appearing results.
